In June 2025, Finnish researcher Pekka Kallioniemi’s Vatnik Soup project, a leading X platform resource tracking pro-Kremlin propagandists, featured seven Estonian-related profiles exposing Kremlin narratives in Estonia. The profiles include Varro Vooglaid, a member of the Estonian parliament echoing Kremlin anti-NATO and anti-EU rhetoric; Sergei Tsaulin, a Soviet nostalgia activist now living in Russia and used by Kremlin media; Oleg Ivanov, a crypto promoter turned pro-Kremlin operative linked to financial fraud and political agitation; Harry Raudvere, a nationalist businessman and neo-Nazi sympathizer supporting Kremlin lines; Oleg Bessedin, a disinformation spreader targeting Russian-speakers and serving as PR manager for the KOOS party; Aivo Peterson, a detained pro-Kremlin activist and politician accused of treason; and Jana Toom, an MEP undermining Estonia’s pro-Western stance through soft-power Kremlin-aligned politics. Vatnik Soup’s extensive profiles have amassed hundreds of thousands of views on X and serve as a key tool in mapping pro-Kremlin influence and disinformation activities within Estonia.
