Ukrainian forces mopping up remaining Russian infantry groups near Dobropillya, military official says

Work is underway to locate and eliminate those troops, Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson for the Dnipro Operational-Strategic Grouping of Troops, said during a broadcast on Suspilne. Studio.

According to him, Ukrainian defenders are preventing Russian forces from linking up with their main units. Trehubov said the results can be assessed once Ukrainian troops are certain Russian soldiers failed to break out of the encirclement near Dobropillya.

Trehubov added that small Russian infantry groups are also trying to infiltrate other parts of the Pokrovsk axis—specifically, entering the city of Pokrovsk from multiple directions and entrenching themselves in buildings.

Earlier, the Dnipro OSG spokesperson said Russia had ammassed more than 110,000 troops on the Pokrovsk axis - twice Pokrovsk’s prewar population.

Near Dobropillya, Russian forces are seeking to disrupt Ukrainian units’ logistics and force them to disperse.
