The strike on the Russian equipment took place overnight on August 30, 2025. Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces say they targeted the radar.

“On the night of August 29–30, 2025, units of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine conducted a series of special actions in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea. As a result, a radar for the S-300 system at the military airfield in the settlement of Saky was destroyed,” the statement said.

Overnight on August 28, 2025, special forces from the Department of Active Operations of Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence struck a Russian 91N6E radar that is part of the S-400 Triumf system.

On August 13 in Russian-occupied Crimea, near the Novofedorivka airfield in Saky, Ukrainian forces struck a Russian 48Ya6-K1 “Podlet” radar.
