Denmark is launching the first joint drone production line with Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky said Friday at a joint news conference with European Council President António Costa in Uzhhorod.
“Now we are developing co-production with European countries. And the first line has already been launched in Denmark. At least, we’ve agreed on everything; it is launching now. Such lines will open with other European countries,” the head of state said.
Zelensky stressed this is a very important task for Ukraine.
In June, Denmark allocated 500 million kroner ($78 million) to deploy Ukrainian defense production on its territory.
It was also reported that this year Denmark’s contribution to the so-called “Danish model” will be about €1.4 billion.
