A series of explosions rocked the occupied cities of Donetsk, Makiivka and Yenakiieve on Monday evening.
Residents reported numerous impacts across several districts, sparking fires, according to the Telegram channel ASTRA.
Videos published online suggest the occupied cities were struck by drones and cruise missiles.
According to the CyberBoroshno project, the Ukrainian Forces struck the Topaz plant, which housed an army-level command post.
The most intense fire was reported in central Donetsk, where the headquarters of the so‑called “People’s Militia of the DPR” may have been hit.
Official acknowledgment came only from the Russian-installed mayor of Donetsk, Alexey Kulemzin, who said drones were used. Leaders of the self-proclaimed “DPR” and the Russian-appointed mayors of Makiivka and Yenakiieve have not yet commented.
At the same time, Petro Andryushchenko, a former adviser to the Mariupol mayor and head of the Center for the Study of Occupation, said Ukraine’s Forces hit a Russian base.
Ukrainian forces have previously targeted Russian military headquarters in Donetsk. In particular, on June 30, the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit the command post of Russia’s 8th Combined Arms Army.
Media reported that the army’s chief of communications was killed in the missile strike.
The positions were attacked with Storm Shadow missiles or the R-360 Neptune anti-ship missile.
