U.S. President Donald Trump’s unclear statements about the incident added to online polarization, with many internet users accusing him of betraying NATO or sympathizing with Putin. The disinformation campaign has morphed from external interference to mainstream social resonance, aimed at creating discord and distrust toward Ukrainians, NATO, and Polish institutions.
