Unknown drones struck the Belgorod region’s government building, damaging the roof and windows.
Ukrainian drones attacked the regional government building, the region’s governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said.
Preliminary reports indicate no casualties. The roof and windows of the building were damaged. Information about other consequences is being clarified.
A drone-attack alert was issued across the region at 13:43. The regional Emergency Ministry office urged residents to stay home, keep away from windows, or move to shelter.
The Ukrainian military has not commented on the Russian side’s claims about the strike on Belgorod.
This is not the first drone attack on the Belgorod regional government building. Previous strikes were recorded on September 10 and August 14.
Those attacks damaged the facade and windows, and on September 10 a private house caught fire after debris from a downed UAV fell. Firefighters contained the blaze, and local officials reported air defenses were active.
On August 14, Russian authorities said Ukrainian drones attacked Belgorod.
On the afternoon of August 13, an unidentified UAV attacked a helipad in Belgorod.
