Late last night, after Russian forces carried out a combined strike on positions near the village of Rivnopillya in the Zaporizhzhia region along the Hulyaipole axis, Ukrainian troops pulled back to more advantageous lines to preserve lives, the Southern Defense Forces said.
According to the Ukrainian military, the advance of Russia’s army has been stopped and that Ukrainian forces are now working to pin down Russian troops and strike them.
Heavy fighting continues on the Hulyaipole and Oleksandrivka axes. Russian forces have stepped up assaults near Stepne, Zeleny Gai, Novopavlovske, Rivnopillya, Privolne, Pavlivka and Vorone.
DeepState reported that in the Zaporizhzhia region, Russian forces have occupied Novouspenivske and Nove.
Earlier, it became known that Ukrainian forces withdrew from positions in the areas of Uspenivka, Nove, Okhotniche, Novouspenivske and Novonikolaevka.
A soldier with the call sign “Alex” said that on the Hulyaipole axis, “the catastrophe is already hard to hide.”
