Ukrainian ‘Skala’ regiment clears more streets in Pokrovsk with drone-guided assaults

Ukrainian soldiers from the “Skala” regiment carried out a successful sweep of several streets in Pokrovsk, destroying Russian positions and equipment. Coordinated work with drones helped minimize losses, the Ukrainian military said.

Ukrainian forces conducted the operation amid ongoing heavy urban combat in the city. Taking part were troops from the 425th Separate Assault Regiment “Skala,” described as one of the Ukrainian army’s most experienced and mobile units.

“Skala” fighters worked in small groups, clearing buildings with real-time support from drones that guided movement and corrected fire. Once enemy positions were identified, strike FPV drones were deployed against them, reducing risk for Ukrainian troops and increasing the effectiveness of the sweep.

According to the 7th Corps of the Air Assault Forces, a mass assault on Pokrovsk mounted by Russian forces using light vehicles achieved only partial success; most of the vehicles were destroyed on the approaches to the city, with the rest eliminated inside the urban area.

On November 11 alone, Ukraine’s defense forces destroyed 10 Russian vehicles: five cars and five motorcycles. Search-and-strike operations continue, along with clearing of blocks where Russian troops tried to entrench.

Near Myrnohrad, Russian forces continue to attack but have been unable to break into the city. Ukrainian logistics are functioning steadily, with supply and evacuation uninterrupted. Russian assault teams of two to four troops have tried to infiltrate the southeastern outskirts, using drones for reconnaissance and motorcycles for logistics, but continue to take losses.

Ukrainian airborne troops are also holding the line in Krasnyi Lyman, which Russian forces view as a staging area for a push from the north. There, too, the Russians have lost personnel and equipment.

The Pokrovsk sector remains one of the most intense in Donbas, but Ukrainian forces say the situation is under control.
