Ukraine moves part of drone and missile production to Poland, Polish Foreign Minister Sikorski says

Ukraine has relocated part of its drone and missile manufacturing to Poland, Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski said in an interview with TVP World.

“We have contributed to the purchase of American weapons for Ukraine. We’re now, I’m losing count, on what seems like the 48th transfer of equipment to Ukraine. But Ukraine is reciprocating by moving part of its drone and missile production to Poland,” he said.

According to Sikorski, defense projects with Ukraine will be carried out under the EU’s SAFE program.

“We are using the EU’s SAFE mechanism, under which forty-four billion euros will be spent to strengthen the defense industry. Some projects will be implemented with European partners, as well as with Ukraine. A lot is happening,” the foreign minister said.

Poland has estimated it has provided Ukraine with nearly €5 billion in assistance, much of it at the most critical point of the war.
