Ukraine says it struck Russian air defenses and a drone depot in Crimea

Ukrainian forces struck Russian air-defense assets and a drone storage site in Russian-occupied areas of Ukraine, the General Staff said Saturday, January 17.

According to the statement, a Nebo-U radar near Yevpatoria in Crimea and a Pantsir-S1 air-defense system near the village of Khutorok in the Saky district were hit. In the Donetsk area, a site used to store and prepare drones for use was also targeted. The extent of the damage is being assessed.

On January 16, Ukrainian forces struck a Russian ammunition depot in Prymorsk in the Russian-occupied part of Zaporizhzhia region. The military also updated its assessment of a strike on the Atlant Aero plant in the city of Taganrog.
