The United States has signed a $235 million agreement with Belgian company Sabena Aerospace to repair and service Ukraine’s F-16 fighter jets. The contract, which runs through January 28, 2029, covers intermediate- and depot-level maintenance for aircraft and engines, as well as materiel management support.
Work will be carried out at Sabena’s facility in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert, Belgium, United24 reported.
Meanwhile, Ukraine and the Czech Republic are working to establish a joint training center for F-16 pilots outside Ukraine due to ongoing missile and drone threats. President Volodymyr Zelensky said talks on the center’s location are continuing, and the Czech Republic is ready to support the initiative.
Earlier, the U.S. State Department approved a potential $310.5 million aid package to support Ukraine’s F-16 program, including training, upgrades and operational support.
