A Russian drone struck a bus in the Pavlohrad district of Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region, the head of the regional military administration, Alexander Hanzha, said on Telegram.
Preliminary government figures put the death toll at 12, with seven more injured.
The bus was transporting miners from DTEK Pavlohradugol in Ternivka. The company said 15 people were killed in the attack.
Earlier the same day, a woman and a man were killed in a Russian strike in the city of Dnipro, Hanzha said.
One private home was destroyed and two others damaged.
Shelling and drone strikes in the Nikopol district damaged several apartment buildings and private homes, as well as a gas pipeline and a power line, the Dnipropetrovsk regional chief added.
Russia’s Defense Ministry did not comment on the reported strikes.
Hours earlier, Russian forces launched a mass drone attack on Zaporizhzhia.
A strike on a maternity hospital wounded at least six people, including two women who were at a checkup when the blast hit, said Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration, on Telegram.
Another Russian drone exploded in one of the city’s districts, preliminarily injuring three people, including a small boy, his post said.
Separately, Ukraine’s Air Force warned of a potential launch of ballistic weapons from Russia’s Kursk region and of drones moving toward the Kyiv, Sumy, Zhytomyr and Vinnytsia regions.
