Ukrainian forces are holding their lines on the Kramatorsk axis in Donetsk region, and Russian troops are taking heavy personnel losses, Ukraine’s military said.
Reports circulating online that Russian forces seized the village of Bondarne in Ukraine’s Donetsk region are false, according to Ukraine’s East Group of Forces, which said the settlement remains fully under Ukrainian control in a post on Facebook.
The East Group said Ukrainian troops are maintaining positions around Bondarne and Nykiforivka on the Kramatorsk axis, with both villages under the control of Ukraine’s defense forces. Russian troops are attempting to advance, but Ukrainian units are repelling the assaults, actively deploying drones to blunt attacks. The Russian military is incurring significant manpower losses on this stretch of the front, the statement added.
The Ukrainian analytical project DeepState recently reported that Russian forces had captured Bondarne and achieved partial success near Nykiforivka. Both settlements are in the Bakhmut district of Donetsk region. DeepState says it cooperates with the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine’s Defense Ministry.
Bondarne and Nykiforivka lie northeast of Kramatorsk. According to Ukraine’s General Staff, Russian forces did not attack Ukrainian positions on this sector on February 10. Active fighting continues on the neighboring Sloviansk and Kostiantynivka axes: Russian troops mounted seven assaults on the Sloviansk axis and 10 on the Kostiantynivka axis that day, the General Staff said.
The most intense combat remains around Pokrovsk. On February 10, Russian forces launched 35 attacks on the Pokrovsk axis, with fighting around Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Molodetske, Filiia and other settlements.
Ukraine estimates that about 150,000 Russian troops were deployed on the Pokrovsk axis in January 2026. Ukrainian forces are holding positions in the northern districts of Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad. In Pokrovsk, street fighting continues in some northern neighborhoods, while in Myrnohrad Russian troops are trying to mass forces in the center for further assaults, Ukraine says.
