Ukrainian troops overnight into Tuesday struck a Ka-27 helicopter and three Russian drone control centers on Russian-occupied territory of Ukraine and inside Russia, the General Staff said on February 17.
“In the area of the settlement of Kamyshly (Russian-occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea), Ukrainian soldiers hit an enemy ship-based multirole Ka-27 helicopter. A hit on the target was recorded,” the General Staff said on its Telegram channel.
“In addition, on February 16, three enemy UAV control posts were struck: near Huliaipole (Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia region); near Anatolyevka (Kursk region, Russia); and near the settlement of Zatishye (Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia region),” the military added.
Enemy losses and the final extent of the damage are still being assessed.
Earlier in Crimea, Russian-installed authorities reported “one of the most prolonged attacks” on Sevastopol in recent times. They claimed a warhead from a downed drone detonated in a courtyard on Gogol Street.
A series of explosions was also reported across Crimea overnight on February 17.
