Ukraine’s Forces have pushed Russian units back in the areas of Kalynivske and Ternove in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Russian troops were forced to abandon previously held positions after a series of Ukrainian counterattacks.
At the same time, Russian forces are advancing in Donetsk region — in the areas of Pokrovsk and Sviatopokrovske. Analysts say Moscow is concentrating troops and firepower there, ramping up pressure along that stretch of the front.
Military journalist Bohdan Miroshnykov says Ukrainian forces no longer maintain firm control inside Pokrovsk. According to him, only small infantry teams are operating in the city, conducting raids without holding ground, buildings or specific areas.
The main fighting has shifted to the suburbs and approaches to Pokrovsk. The situation there appears somewhat more stable than in recent weeks. Russian units are no longer able to push deep into Ukrainian defenses with full company-sized groups, as they did about two months ago.
Key flashpoints now include Rodynske, near Svitle and Hryshyne. Despite some tactical gains by Ukrainian forces, the overall trend remains negative. Russia retains an advantage in manpower and firepower, with the exception of drones.
