Ukrainian missile strike hits Shahed drone depot at occupied Donetsk’s Tochmash plant

On the morning of March 8, Ukrainian forces struck the occupied Donetsk. The target was a military facility linked to “Shaheds.”

A large number of photos and videos shot by witnesses appeared online. Judging by the footage, the aftermath appears very serious.

Locals say missiles were used. After the attack, huge plumes of smoke rose into the sky, and secondary detonations were heard. That fueled a version that the target was a storage site for “Shahed”/“Geran” kamikaze drones.

The prominent OSINT project “KiberBoroshno” shed more light on the situation. It confirmed that a military target was hit—specifically, an ammunition warehouse that Russian forces had placed on the grounds of the “Tochmash” plant near Donetsk airport.

“This is a continuation of the operation carried out yesterday (March 7) using Storm Shadow and ATACMS. At that time, the launch and preparation sites for ‘Gerbera’ and ‘Shahed’ UAVs - which were used for mining, reconnaissance and strikes along the front line—were directly targeted,” the analysts said.
