On the Kharkiv direction, Russian forces conducted offensive operations near Vovchansk.

On the Kupyansk direction, Russian forces attacked near Dvorichna, Zakhidne, Fyholivka, Petropavlivka, Zahryzove, Cherneshchyna, and Novoyehorivka. They are engaged in battles for Topoli and Holubivka and attempted to advance near Kutkivka, Hrekivka, and Makiivka.

Ukrainian Defense Forces counterattacked near Dvorichna.

On the Lyman direction, Russian forces advanced near Yampolivka, Novolyubivka, Ivanivka, Kolodyazi, Kuzmyne, and the Serebriansk Forest, attempting to push forward near Zhuravka Gully.

On the Siversk direction, the 7th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 3rd Combined Arms Army advanced near Bilohorivka, capturing a village and a quarry to its south.

On the Kramatorsk direction, Russian forces advanced near Chasiv Yar, Vasyukivka, Stupochky, and Bila Hora.

On the Toretsk direction, Russian forces attacked Toretsk, near Krymske, and in the direction of Dyliivka.

Ukrainian Defense Forces advanced in the western part of Toretsk.

On the Pokrovsk direction Russian forces advanced near Vodyane Druhe, Promin, Novotoretske, Yelyzavetivka, Dachenske, Kotlyne, Novooleksandrivka, Bohdanivka, and Udachne. They captured Novoandriivka and advanced northeast and south of Nadiivka.

On the Novopavlivka direction, Russian forces advanced near Andriivka, Konstyantynopil, Oleksiivka, Ulakly, and Rozlyv. The 39th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade and the 1472nd Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 68th Army Corps captured Ulakly. The enemy attempted to advance southwest of Oleksiivka and toward Konstyantynopil.

On the Huliaypole direction, Russian forces continued their offensive near Skudne, Burlatske, and Novosilka, advancing southeast of Dniproenerhiya.

On the Orikhiv direction, Russian forces attacked near Shcherbaky, Stepove, Kamianske, and Pyatykhatky.

Ukrainian Defense Forces counterattacked near Kamianske and Orikhiv.

General conclusion:

  • Frozen ground and the freezing of water bodies near Chasiv Yar allowed Russian forces to advance more easily toward Chasiv Yar. The enemy is regrouping troops north of Chasiv Yar.
  • Enemy attacks on Konstyantynopil, Rozlyv, and the Vovcha River near Ulakly have intensified since February 16, as the enemy attempts to disrupt Ukrainian logistics in the area.
  • The enemy has deployed the 69th Motorized Rifle Division of the 6th Army in full strength and continues efforts to expand its tactical foothold north of the city in the area of Dvorichna and Novomlynsk to an operational level. Over the week, the enemy has advanced only up to 1 kilometer on the northern front of the foothold between Fyholivka and Novomlynsk. Fighting continues for Dvorichna and Zapadne. Ukrainian Defense Forces on this front are significantly outnumbered and outgunned. In the area of the village of Kruhlyakivka, attempts to widen the breakthrough corridor have failed despite continuous attacks by the 2nd Motorized Rifle Division and the 27th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 1st Tank Army. The command of the enemy’s “Sever (North)” Operational Grouping and “Zapad (West)” Operational Grouping is far from achieving immediate objectives on the adjacent flank—securing favorable staging areas to initiate an operation to capture Kupyansk.
  • The 3rd and 144th Motorized Rifle Divisions of the 20th Army have captured tactical footholds on the Chornyi Zherebets River in the area of Makiivka and Ivanivka, conducting intensive attacks to break the “Khortytsia” OSG defense on the eastern bank of the river in the direction of Terny–Yampolivka. Over the past five days, the 252nd Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 3rd Motorized Rifle Division has managed to expand its foothold by 200–250 meters in the direction of Makiivka–Hrekivka. Other enemy efforts toward Kolodyazi and Yampolivka have been unsuccessful. The 20th Army has the objective of breaking through to the area of Drobysheve and reaching the line of Pisky-Radkivski–Lozove along the Oskil River. Troops of the 25th Army of the enemy’s “Zapad (West)” Operational Grouping contain Ukrainian units defending the eastern bank of the Zherebets River from the front and in the area of the Serebriansk Forest.
  • The command of the enemy’s “Yug (South)” Operational Grouping is focusing its efforts on the flanks of the Siverskyi salient of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, namely on the Kramatorsk and Lyman directions. The 3rd Army restrains the “Khortytsia” OSG troops conducting defense on the Siverskyi salient from the front, with periodic surges of activity in the areas of Bilohorivka (upper), Verkhnyokamianske, Vyimka, and Pereyizne.
  • On the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy’s main efforts are focused around Chasiv Yar and to its north and south. The 4th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 3rd Army, the 200th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 14th Army Corps, the 85th and 88th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigades of the 3rd Army, and the 217th and 331st Airborne Regiments of the 98th Airborne Division have been unsuccessfully attempting since February 18 to capture Chasiv Yar and advance toward the outskirts of Kostyantynivka from the north and northeast. The enemy’s plan on the Kramatorsk direction is to reach the outskirts of Kostyantynivka from the north, northeast, and east toward Druzhkivka and secure favorable positions for an assault on Kostyantynivka and Druzhkivka, followed by further advancement toward Kramatorsk.
  • On the Toretsk direction, the enemy’s 8th Army is concentrating in designated areas. Over five days, the 51st Army has failed to achieve any significant results, with its brigades being deployed in a scattered manner across various sectors.
  • On the Pokrovsk direction, fierce engagements are ongoing to the south and southwest of the city. The 55th and 74th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigades, the 433rd Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 27th Motorized Rifle Division, and the 87th Rifle Regiment have suffered losses ranging from 30% to 50% of their personnel.
  • In the Novopavlivka direction, forces of the 51st and 29th Armies, the 68th Army Corps, and the 57th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 5th Army have pushed forward units of the “Khortytsia” OSG from the remnants of the Kurakhove salient, which have retreated to the Konstyantynopil–Rozlyv line and are currently trying to prevent further enemy advances west of Andriivka.
  • On the Huliaypole direction, enemy troops of the 5th and 36th Armies have reached the Novosilka–Novoocheretuvate line. The command of the enemy’s “Vostok (East)” Operational Grouping is operating along two main axes along the western and eastern banks of the Mokri Yaly River in a generally northwestern direction. The 127th Motorized Rifle Division and the 34th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 5th Army are attempting to break through in the Shevchenko–Burlatske–Pryvilne–Vilne Pole area. The 37th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade and the 5th Separate Tank Brigade of the 36th Army, along with the 40th and 336th Separate Marines Brigades, are advancing along the eastern bank toward Novoocheretuvate–Dniproenerhiya in the direction of the village of Komar. The 60th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade and part of the 5th Separate Tank Brigade are being held in reserve by the “Vostok (East)” Operational Grouping as a follow-up echelon and could be deployed in the Rozdolne–Bahatyr direction or toward Komar.
  • On the Orikhiv direction, the enemy is attacking along the road toward Novodanylivka from the side of Novofedorivka and from the side of Robotyne with the objective of improving their positions and creating conditions for an assault on Orikhiv.
  • Russian forces are unable to attack with the previous scale, intensity, or—most importantly—effectiveness on almost all fronts. The enemy has gradually reduced its offensives from three directions to two and is now focusing on one.

Change in the line of contact (LoC):

  • There were 96 combat engagements on various fronts.
  • On the Kharkiv direction, the enemy twice attempted to breach Ukrainian defensive lines toward Vovchansk and Zakhidne.
  • On the Kupyansk direction, four enemy attacks took place. Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled assaults near Petropavlivka, Zahryzove, and toward Bohuslavka.
  • On the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 15 times, trying to penetrate defenses near Torske, Novoyehorivka, Novolyubivka, Yampolivka, Kuzmyne, and toward Nove, Novoplatonivka, Shyikivka, Zelena Dolyna, and Cherneshchyna.
  • On the Siversk direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 2 attacks near Bilohorivka and Ivano-Dariivka.
  • On the Kramatorsk direction, 2 engagements were recorded near Chasiv Yar and toward Oleksandro-Shultyne.
  • On the Toretsk direction, the enemy launched 9 attacks near Toretsk and Krymske.
  • On the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces stopped 22 enemy assaults toward Promin, Kotlyne, Andriivka, Bohdanivka, Ulakly, Novoserhiyivka, Molodetske, Leontovychi, Pokrovsk, Myroliubivka, and Vodyane Druhe.
  • On the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy carried out 11 attacks toward Konstyantynopil and Burlatske.
  • On the Orikhiv Direction, the occupying forces launched one assault on Defense Ukrainian Forces’ positions near Stepove.
  • Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their operation in Kursk Oblast. The enemy conducted 22 airstrikes and attacked 19 times
  • In the Black Sea-Azov naval operational area, the enemy naval group on combat duty consists of:
    • Black Sea: 1 ship, including 1 cruise missile carrier; the total salvo is 4 cruise missiles.
    • Mediterranean Sea: 4 ships, including 3 cruise missile carriers; the total salvo is 26 cruise missiles.

Supporting operation:

  • The Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine carried out a strike on the Ryazan Oil Refinery in Ryazan Oblast, causing a fire in the area of the primary oil processing unit ELOU AT-6. A fuel depot in the area of the Federal State Institution “Kombinat “8 Marta” in Tula Oblast of the Russian Federation was also hit.

Changes in the enemy disposition:

  • The 9th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 18th Motorized Rifle Division of the 11th Army Corps operates in Pogrebki, the 810th Separate Marines Brigade of the Black Sea Fleet is active near Guevo, the 51st Airborne Regiment of the 106th Airborne Division is engaged near Lebedevka, the 1427th Motorized Rifle Regiment is fighting near Kositsa, and the 11th Separate Air Assault Brigade is near Cherkasskya Konopelka. The 137th Airborne Regiment of the 106th Airborne Division and the 30th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 72nd Motorized Rifle Division of the 44th Army Corps operate in Kursk Oblast.
  • The 12th Separate Territorial Defense Battalion of the Russian proxy Luhansk People’s Republic is advancing near Bilohorivka.
  • The 72nd Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 3rd Army Corps operates near Bila Hora.
  • The 506th and 433rd Motorized Rifle Regiments of the 27th Motorized Rifle Division of the 2nd Army operate along the Udachne–Uspenivka line.

Possible operation situation developments:

  • Once the enemy sufficiently expands its bridgeheads on the Chornyi Zherebets River, the 25th Army, with forces of the 67th Motorized Rifle Division and the 164th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade, will sharply intensify actions toward Torske and Yampolivka. This will mark the second stage of pushing “Khortytsia” OSG out of the bridgehead east of the Chornyi Zherebets River on the Lyman direction.
  • On the Toretsk direction, the enemy command is finalizing the deployment of the 8th Combined Arms Army within the operational zone of the 51st Combined Arms Army and is expected to launch an operation shortly, aiming to break through toward the area south and west of Kostyantynivka.
  • The operational plan of the 8th Combined Arms Army on the Kostyantynivka direction is to envelop the tactical group of the “Khortytsia” OSG, which is defending south of Kostyantynivka between Oleksandropil and Tarasivka from the flanks. The enemy aims to encircle and destroy this group or, if unable to do so, force it to withdraw from the area south of Kostyantynivka in a northwestern direction under the threat of encirclement. The ultimate goal of these actions is a two-pronged breakthrough from the southwest and southeast toward the area of Stepanivka – Berestok – Pleshchiivka – Yablunivka, followed by a simultaneous assault on Kostyantynivka from this area and from the direction of Chasiv Yar.
  • After the first stage (reaching the Poltavka–Pleshchiivka line), the enemy’s 3rd Combined Arms Army, reinforced by an airborne forces group, will attempt a rapid breakthrough from the bridgehead on the Siverskyi Donets–Donbas canal in the Chasiv Yar area, advancing from the northeast toward Kostyantynivka.

  • On the evening of February 24, Russian forces shelled the Dnipro district of Kherson with artillery, injuring six people, including a 15-year-old girl.
  • Over three years of full-scale invasion, Russian forces have destroyed or damaged 1,390 cultural heritage sites and 2,205 cultural infrastructure facilities in Ukraine.
  • The total loss of Ukraine’s housing sector amounts to 13% of the entire residential stock—over 320,000 private homes and more than 37,000 multi-story buildings destroyed or damaged.
  • In three years of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, 210 civilians, including 11 children, have been killed in Kyiv, according to Mayor Vitali Klitschko. Air raid sirens have sounded 1,539 times. A total of 1,239 residential buildings, 194 educational institutions, 41 healthcare facilities, and 17 social infrastructure sites have been damaged.

Over half of the residents of Kherson Oblast are suffering from acute food shortages, and in Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk Oblasts, two out of every five people face hunger.
  • On the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine is ready for a prisoner exchange with Russia in the “all for all” format. A large-scale release of Ukrainian prisoners could be one of the signs of the war’s end and the restoration of trust in Russia. Currently, the Russian Federation is holding thousands of Ukrainians, some of whom have been in captivity since 2014.
